After completing his studies, Lange pursued an career as a pilot and training captain, flying various aircraft—from LearJets to Airbus and Boeing 747-400s. His travels and passion for sailing inspired his next venture. While enjoying his yacht in Sardinia, Lange observed that many yachts seem to be abandoned during the midday heat due to the discomfort caused by high temperatures. Frustrated by ineffective cooling products for his home in Italy, Lange created his own product.
Lange developed an ultra-fine misting nozzle by modifying the injector nozzles principle used on race engines, combined with a robust motor pump unit made from corrosion-resistant materials, capable of maintaining 100-bar pressure. Together with his son Luca, who studied Marine Technology at the University of Delft at that time, they enhanced the system specifically for use on superyachts. Electrical integration was carried out by Gregor Eller, owner of Eller Mechatronics.
Now retired from aviation, Michael Lange dedicates his time to developing and optimizing his misting systems for luxury yachts. He offers consulting services to yacht designers and owners, guiding them from the initial project phases to installation and handover.
