How does it work?

In the first step, we prepare fresh water by filtering out all particles or impurities down to a size of less than 1/1000 mm in our multi-stage filtration system. Depending on the application, we also use an ion water descaler or a reverse osmosis system. To prevent Legionella and other bacteria, we incorporate multiple UV-C sterilizers in our system. Depending on the system's use or the customer's requirements, we comply with all relevant regulations and recommendations regarding hygiene, medical aspects, safety standards, and country-specific regulations.

The purified water is then pumped by an electrically driven high-pressure pump to a pressure of over 120 bar and transported through flexible high-pressure plastic pipes or stainless steel tubes to the individual mist nozzles. We mainly use form-fitting connections. As the water exits the nozzles, it is atomized into the finest water droplets, forming an aerosol mist cloud.

The surface area of each water droplet increases by 1,000 times, which triggers an immediate evaporation process. In this process, heat is drawn from the surrounding temperature. We achieve a temperature reduction of up to 12°C compared to the ambient temperature. Due to the special construction of the nozzle, evaporation occurs directly near the nozzle, ensuring that people or objects do not get wet or damp.

The nozzle operates in both intermittent and continuous modes, completely noise-free. We have achieved this, among other things, by reducing the exit speed of the micro-droplets at the nozzle edge. The filtration technology and water treatment used prevent the formation of deposits or residues on surfaces near the nozzles.

Depending on the system's settings or component selection, we can create either a floating mist or an ascending mist cloud made from pure water, without any additives. By incorporating additional components, our systems are suitable for food-grade applications or can be used in the medical field for inhalation and therapy purposes.

NOTE:
Since the air cooled by evaporation is heavier than the surrounding air, it sinks, resulting in a cooling effect in the area below the nozzles. For this reason, we typically install the nozzles above the area to be cooled.

Key Components:

  • Water Treatment: Integrated UV-C sterilization ensures the system remains free of bacteria, including legionella.

  • High Pressure Pump: Delivers pressurized water for cooling, with options for pre-chilling in hot environments.

  • Nozzles: Silent, micro-fog nozzles evaporate water instantly, cooling the air by up to 12°C.

  • Control Systems: WiFi, remote control, or sensor-based systems can be integrated into any yacht intelligence or residential automation system (Domotic).

  • Customizable Options: Optional RGB-LED lights, laser effects, fragrance mixing, and mosquito repellent integration for added functionality.
